Can’t add tags?

If you’re unable to add tags, please be sure to update to the latest version of Intuition Journal (version 2.0). Apple’s iOS 8 update was causing the tag tool to be hidden when the iPhone’s new “predictive text” feature is turned on. Version 2.0 has fixed this.

If you are running an earlier version of Intuition Journal, you must turn off the predictive text feature in order to add tags. Instructions on how to turn off predictive text are posted here*Once predictive text is turned off, you will be able to see the tags toolbar and add tags again.

You can edit or delete tags on the Tags screen. Swipe left on the tag you want to change or delete. Options to either edit or delete that tag will appear.

Can I backup my entries?

Yes. Individual entries can be exported via email. To simplify this process, however, we are currently working on adding additional options for exporting your data, including iCloud sync, which will enable you to have your entries automatically backed up to Apple iCloud.

  • To export individual entries: Go to the entry that you would like to export. Next, tap on the share icon on the bottom of the screen and select “Email Entry”, then type in the email address that you would like to send the entry to.
  • To export all entries: Go to Settings. Tap on Export, then select Email.

How do I delete an entry?

There are two ways to delete an entry. 1) From the Timeline: Swipe left on the entry you’d like to delete, then tap on the red delete button. 2) From the Journal Entry: While viewing the journal entry that you’d like to delete, tap on the trash icon located on the bottom of the screen.

What should I write in my Intuition Journal?

Intuition Journal is a place for self-reflection – a place to record your thoughts, collect observations, and make sense of your experiences. Of course, you can write whatever you want in your journal, however, there are specific types of information that can help you develop your intuition. Some of the most important ones are:

Hunches, insights, coincidences / synchronicities, feelings, dreams, ideas that seem to pop into your mind out of nowhere, “a-ha!” moments, instincts, and déjà vu experiences.

It is also extremely useful to take notes when making decisions based on your intuition, so that you can look back and see what the outcome was later and learn from your experiences.

Your Intuition Journal is also a workbook where you can record your experiences while doing the exercises contained in the app.

Why should I write all of these things down?

By capturing your observations and experiences, you will be able to get a sense how your intuition communicates with you and learn how to be more attuned to its often subtle forms of communication. Over time, you will also be able to notice patterns, which can help you to identify challenges, opportunities, and hidden beliefs that may be holding you back.

How I do know if something is worth writing down?

Although it would be great to be able to jot down every single thing that happens throughout your day, this is obviously not feasible. So, when is it worth writing something down?

One way to distinguish whether something is worth writing down in your Intuition Journal or not is if it repeats itself. If it only happens once, then it may not have much meaning. However, if it happens more than once, then it most likely has some significance.

Another cue that something is meaningful, and thus worth writing down in your journal, is how strongly you react to it.

What about when places, people, or things evoke certain feelings or thoughts?

Sometimes, there are things in our external world that spark ideas, feelings, or thoughts within us, without seeming to have any logical explanation. Examples are when you instantly like or dislike someone, sense positive or negative “vibes” about a particular place/person/thing, or get a sense of dèjà vu — a feeling that you have experienced something before. When these types of feelings occur, you should definitely write them down.

I don’t know what things mean. Should I still write them down?

Yes! It is important that you write things down, even when you don’t fully understand what they mean yet. In many cases, these types of experiences will not make sense in the moment. With time and reflection, however, the meaning will often reveal itself. No matter how small or seemingly insignificant some things may seem, each small clue adds up and can provide a valuable piece of the puzzle.
